Chapter Thirty-eight- Discussion and Art Activity

Discussion Activity- This chapter is entitled "The Second War Begins." As you finish the book and get ready to read it all over again, discuss some of the things you think will happen in the next book in groups of 3-4 students. You may have a few more years to wait until book six arrives, so feel free to keep this discussion going for a long time.

Art Activity- Harry learns that he must return home to the Dursley's, despite his desire to stay with Ron and Hermione for the summer. Draw a picture of one of the final scenes in this chapter. Perhaps you might want to draw the members of the Order that meet the children at King's Cross. Or, make a sketch of Harry leaving the station with the Dursley's trailing behind him. Label the scene you are trying to illustrate and then share your picture with other students.
